Challenges in Topic and Guest Selection:

Choosing this idea and getting the talker was hard. First, it was tough to find someone with big influence who would talk about their online-name-making story. Even though many big web names and makers have a lot of tales, they're often too busy. In the end, we picked Na, an Instagram person with 230,000 followers, a maker, and singer too. Na's story is extra interesting because her folks are known people.

But, setting up the chat time and making sure the talker could go deep into the topics was hard too. We had to play it by ear with the talker's busy days and make sure the chat would make the talker talk about clear plans and real tales. Like, in the chat, we asked Na how she deals with bad words, and she told us how she went from mad answers to calm ones, giving our crowd good thoughts.

What We Got ?

While doing this, I picked up a lot on working on things and together. First, knowing who does what and timing things right is key for the work to flow right. Like, we set who does what early; one person was to get the talker and set times, another to ready the chat and gear, making us work faster. Second, talking well in a team is a must. With regular get-togethers and quick chats, we kept in sync and worked out issues fast. Say, when the talker was late for the chat, we changed things up fast and got it done by working together. Plus, I got better at dealing with the unexpected, like last-minute plan changes, making everything smoother.

How to Do Better Next Time:

If I got to do this again, I would change a few things: First, I'd get the talker set sooner to dodge time clashes. Like, having a few maybe talkers early on and saying "yes" to the talk time one or two months before. Second, I would look into things more to ask sharper questions in the chat and find out more. Like, knowing what the talker's been posting and chatting about to bring up during the chat and get deeper stories. Also, I'd care more about what the crowd thinks, getting their points and questions on our topic before to make the talk fit what they want to know. Like, putting previews online and asking the crowd for the big questions they have.

By doing this talk, I've learned a lot about making a name for yourself and gotten better at handling projects and working with others. I can't wait to use what I've learned to help more folks make and keep a great name for themselves.
